Celebrating the end of June!

Nicole hosted a playdate at her house to celebrate the end of June! The kids had a blast. Actually, the mommy's enjoyed themselves too! Thank you for haivng us all over Nicole...it was great!

We know Brooker had a great time while Mommy and Daddy were in Cancun. Mammy took Brooker and Rylie to the Children's Museum for some FUN!

Citrus Convention - Bonita Springs

It's been a tradition for four years now that we go to Bonita Springs for the annual Florida Citrus Conference. We stay at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Hotel which is so nice and lots of fun for kids. Brooker really enjoys the zero entry pool. They also had a small slide for the little ones. We decided to take a morning trip to the hotel's private island. You have to get there by a ferry. Brooker enjoyed the sand and water but the current was rather strong that day so we didn't do very much swimming. The last night of the conference is family night. They have a band and games for the children. Brooker participated in Limbo!

Cancun, Mexico

Jared and I just returned home from a wonderful all expense paid trip to Cancun, Mexico. I earned this trip for us through Southern Living at Home. I can hardly believe it was my third all expense paid trip in only 11 months! Needless to say, the company outdid themelves, as always. The trip was perfect...We relaxed, read books, played water volleyball, ate, snorkeled, and took part in many other fun activities.

Camp Edge - VBS 2009

Brooker attended Grace Bible's Vacation Bible School this week. The theme was "Camp Edge." He had a great time. This was our first time ever taking Brooker to any kind of "school" environment. He was at VBS for 3 1/2 hours each day! I was excited for the end of VBS program today. Although, I couldn't see Brooker that well, I was happy that he at least stayed with his group and somewhat sat still during the performance!

They're Here!!!

Leslie, Rylie, and Baxlee are home for a visit!!! Brooker has been really looking forward to seeing his aunt and cousins for quite some time. We have all missed them so much! We joined Aunt Leslie and the girls and Aunt Laci for some lake time this afternoon. Aunt Leslie took Brooker on his first Sea Doo ride. They went to the bridge to look for the "grumpy ol' troll." They didn't find him, but they did spot a turtle...B-Man's Favorite! I love my SILS and nieces and had such a nice day spending time with them!

Third Time's A Charm

This morning Brooker had his third swimming lesson of the summer. His first two were on Saturday and Sunday. Let's just say he was NOT fond of them! He cried the whole time, but did everything Mrs. Pat instructed him to do. The only high point of the lessons was when Mrs. Pat let Brooker put his face in the water to pick up toys off the steps. Well, when we pulled up to her house this morning, my little guy wasn't so sure. After some whimpering about not wanting to go, he bravely got in the pool with Mrs. Caton and laughed and talked his whole was through swimming lessons! While floating on his back he told Mrs. Pat, "This feels good." I was so proud of my little fish today and I could tell he was proud of himself too! As the saying goes, "Third time's a charm!"

Lovin' on sweet Molly Jane

This morning we went to visit Molly Jane or "Mowwy Jane", as Brooker would say. We had a new little bathing suit to give her! Brooker LOVES to hold Molly Jane and give her sweet kisses. She is just so sweet...It's no wonder he likes to love on her!

Today we got together at the pool for a great playdate with friends! Emily is in town with her daughters, Lucy and Edy and we wanted all the kids to get together to play. And of course, the adults wanted to visit and catch-up too! We ate pizza and other goodies poolside. I look forward to many more pool dates with friends this summer!
