Gatorama

What an adventure we had this afternoon! Mammy and I took the kiddos to Gatorama to hatch a baby alligator. When we went last year it was on a Saturday and we hadn't made a reservation and there were no eggs left to hatch. We were determined that wasn't going to happen this year! So we chose a weekday hoping for a smaller crowd...it was fantastic! There were only 7 kids total. Brooker is very seasoned at egg hatching as he has done it a couple times before. However, this was Mary Kate's first time. She was very serious the whole time the alligator was hatching but I know she secretly loved it and was quite fascinated! She named her's "Ali-Gator." After hatching, Brooker was able to get into a small pool with lots and lots of small alligators (their mouths were taped shut) and he could pick them up and pretend like he was a real live "Gator boy" he was in heaven! Such a fun afternoon and we thank Mammy very much for joining us!

Playdate at Marlee's

Aunt Laci kept Mary Kate for a little while today and the girls were excited to have a play date together! Since both girls are really into doing arts and crafts, they did a lot of creating! They also went to Mammy & Pappy's house for a nature walk and found a golf ball, a lime, leaves, and some grass. Aunt Laci let them eat yummy ice cream after lunch and then take a fun bubble bath together. It's no wonder Mary Kate begs to go to Marlee's everyday!

Happy Feet Dance

Little Ballerina Mary Kate started dance today. She is taking lessons from Mrs. Kristin with Happy Feet, a dance ministry offered by First Baptist Church. She got dressed in her tutu, tights and ballet shoes, complete with a bun on top of her head...a picture perfect ballerina. She went right into class and sat in the circle. I was able to peek at her through a window and she was doing the dance routine right along with the group. She loved it! It will be fun watching her dance this year.
