Cousins on Thanksgiving

This year I didn't do so well taking pictures of our Thanksgiving gathering...but I did take some of these two beauties in their turkey outfits :)

Mary Kate & Marlee

Turkey Trottin'

The annual Turkey Trot took place at Highlands Hammock Thanksgiving morning. My mom was running the 5k so I took Brooker out to watch. He said he wanted to run too! Well, turns out he was in luck. This year they did a one mile fun run for the kids! Brooker was the youngest runner in the group but he didn't let that stop him! With a little push from his friend Emily, he finished the whole mile...I was so proud of him and he was so excited to get a medal!

Meet "Jack"

The "Elf on the Shelf" has come to the Revell house. On the day after Thanksgiving, Brooker got a special package from Santa. I composed a letter that told Brooker all about the elf and he listened to Jared read it to him. He wanted to name the elf "Jack-o-Lantern" so I quickly helped him shorten the name to "Jack." Jack spent the first night on Brooker's nightstand. I'm not sure how well this will influence Brooker...while we were making a big fuss about the elf watching him and reporting to Santa and all that jazz, Brooker said, "I don't believe y'all!" Nice!

Bass Pro's Winter Wonderland

We took Brooker to Bass Pro Shops in Fort Myers to check out the Winter Wonderland. It was great! They had a craft for the kids to make...it was a Santa Claus made out of a bobber...too cute! Brooker loved sitting on Santa's lap and telling him that he wanted "Batman stuff." He also wrote his letter to Santa. They even had a mailbox to put it in AND he will get a reply from Santa soon! One of the best things about it all was that it was completely FREE...including a free picture with Santa. His turned out adorable! This was definitely something we will do again next year (and I highly recommend it to all my blog readers).

Making his Santa bobber ornament.
Shooting with Aunt Jamie
So happy with Santa!
Telling Santa all about the "bat cave."
Mommy helping Brooker write his letter to Santa.
Signing his name....
Putting it in the mailbox.

Who likes FREE?

You heard it right...FREE! After blog hopping on some of my favorite blogs this past week, I came across a Shutterfly promotion (Thank you Tamara). I don't know about any of my blog readers, but I love Shutterfly. I have made many projects with Shutterfly...mainly photobooks and cards. Last year we made our family Christmas Card through Shutterfly and just loved it! We plan to use Shutterfly for our card again this year. They make it just so easy to create a perfect card.
The current promotion is for bloggers...not just "big time" bloggers either. Any blogger can qualify. They are giving away 50 FREE holiday cards!! I hope you'll share the good news...read on to see the link and get started on getting your own 50 holiday cards absolutely FREE this year.

My favorite holiday cards are the photo cards...I just love getting/giving a Christmas card that has a picture on it. What better way to keep up with family and friends than by actually "seeing" them! Check out this link to Shutterfly's holiday photo cards...

Another item I love that Shutterfly offers are their calendars. I am a big calendar girl and love seeing all the fun activities/birthdays/anniversaries/etc. going on throughout the year. With Shutterfly's calendar you can add photos and important dates/events. I can think of several people in my family who would love one of these...great gift idea! Check out this link to Shutterfly's calendars....

While I am not going to be "graduating" anytime soon...that era of my life has passed, I did take a look at the graduation announcements that Shutterfly offers. What a clever way for graduates to announce their big day! Check out this link to Shutterfly's graduation announcements...

So for all of my blog followers, you too can get 50 free holiday cards by simply following this link....http://bit.ly/sfly2010

I can't wait to see your post about Shutterfly's 50 free holiday card offer!

His First Wedding

Brooker had a "first" this weekend. He was a ring bearer in a wedding! The rehearsal went really well and Brooker, along with four other children walked down the aisle just as he was supposed to. He stood up in front next to the groomsman and only walked away one time to ask me if he had to "stand up there." The actual wedding night was a little different story...while he looked mighty handsome in his tuxedo, he wasn't quite the ring bearer he was the night before. After walking down the aisle sucking his thumb (which he hasn't done since he was about a week old), he stood up in front with the groomsman and continued to suck his thumb while grinning...he knew EXACTLY what he was doing! Then, he came running to me and told me he needed to "pee pee." Jared told him to get back up there and he would have to use the bathroom in a little while! A few minutes later he came back to us and said he just wanted to sit with us. Oh well...he acted like a 3 year old...what do ya do?

My Little Indian Boy

Today Brooker's preschool had their annual Thanksgiving program/lunch. Brooker was an Indian this year! The First Baptist Preschool always does an excellent job with their programs and this year was no exception :)

The teachers put together a slide show of the kids showing what they are thankful for. This isn't the best quality picture b/c it's taken of the screen but I thought it was very sweet what Brooker said he was thankful for.

"Hooah...Hooah...Shoot the arrow..."
