Brooker's Homework

Brooker's teacher, Mrs. Dawn, will occasionally send home worksheets for the children to do at their will and at their own pace. She'll reward them with a sticker if they bring it back. She said the kids think they are so cool when they have "homework!" I am sure this little guy won't think it's so cool in a few years, BUT, he did do great on his "T" worksheet! I love how he is including his last name now :)

Margaret Nell Turns 1!

We had a "sweet" time at Margaret Nell's 1st birthday party! Her mommy Heidi is a fabulous party planner and all the details were just so cute, and well..."Sweet!" Margaret Nell's older brothers, Oren and Nolan were so attentive to her while she was smashing her cupcake! All the kids loved the yummy ice-cream sundae bar, where there were able to create their own sundaes using all the yummiest toppings under the sun! Poor Mary Kate missed this party...she was home sound asleep through it all...There's always next year!

Happy 6th Birthday Diva Lauren!

Today we celebrated a special "diva's" 6th birthday! Momma Mandy once again created a masterpiece for a cake. The huge water slide was there again this year which the kids love. Brooker didn't think it was the greatest thing ever but I was okay with that...he watched from a distance. In a few more years I probably won't be able to keep him off it! I can't believe Lauren is already 6!! When Brooker first met her she was only 3. She's such a sweet girl!

Happy 1st Birthday Sophia!

A very special little girl turned one! We got to know Sophia Isabella Torres and her mommy and daddy a year ago when we were all in Orlando at Winnie Palmer Hospital/Hubbard House. Kelly had some complications during pregnancy and Sophia was delivered early. Sophia then had complications and had to be in the NICU for quite some time. It was in Orlando that we actually met the Torres' for the first time...AND they are our neighbors (two doors down)...Small world! Sophia is a miracle baby and continues to make improvements everyday. Kelly and Alex planned an amazing first birthday party for her at the Omni Hotel in Orlando. The Dr. Seuss theme was adorable!
Brooker is signing in at the desk and making a guess of how many skittles are in the jar...his guess was in the 20's..there were actually a few hundred...haha!
Facepaint time!
Even Mary Kate got her face painted...she wasn't too sure about it.
Lauren and Brooker
They BOTH had sooooo much fun!
Talking with the lady about which balloon animal he wanted her to make. I would've loved to have heard that convo.

Waiting patiently for a fun game to begin!
It's Brooker's turn to guess "What's in the Hat?"
These two played and played and played some more :)
Group shot!

Happy Birthday sweet girl!

"P" is for Pajamas

Today was Pajama Day at school since they have been learning the letter "P" this week. Brooker chose to wear his Superman PJ's. I love how when I ask the kids to make a funny face they always stick out their tongues :)

Where's your tongue Mary Kate?

Mary Kate loves for me to stick my tongue out at her and say, "Where's your tongue?" She will sometimes stick her's out for me too. This was the look I got from her today...too funny!

Grandparent's Day Celebration!

Today Brooker's preschool had a Grandparent's Day program and cookie decorating activity for the Grandparents and Parents to attend. It was just too sweet! I loved the little songs they sang. One in particular was so sweet because it was about a "Nana." It went along the lines of "You never met my Nana but she...." and told all the sweet things Nana did. Brooker's Nana is in Heaven but she certainly fit the mold for the Nana in this song :) Mammy and Pappy came to watch Brooker and help him with his cookies. He made a family tree craft in his class...one for each set of grandparents. There's a picture of it below. Last night I asked Brooker if he would sing one of his songs for me and he said, "Nope Mom. You'll just have to hear them at my program tomorrow." I'm glad he didn't spoil the sweetness of today!
