Happy 5th Birthday to August!

This afternoon was spent at the Stivender home enjoying a fun Dinosaur themed birthday party complete with an awesome water slide! All the kids played so hard and enjoyed yummy cupcakes. August enjoyed opening his fun gifts and I loved how he said, "This is what I always wanted!" after opening almost every one. Once the festivities were wrapping up and most of the kids and parents left, Erin and I decided to try out the slide! What FUN we had. Now I know why these kids LOVE the slides! Happy 5th Birthday sweet boy...We look forward to celebrating MANY more!

Mason Smoak 5k & Family Fun Day

This morning we went down to Lake Placid to participate in the Mason Smoak 5k & Family Fun Day. Jared and I walk/ran the 5k while pushing Mary Kate. It was HOT HOT HOT! While we were torturing ourselves, Mammy, Aunt Jamie, and Brooker were enjoying the fun activities at Donaldson Park. Brooker's favorite booth was the Python Hunter. Tons of snakes, a white alligator, HUGE iguana, and more. Once Jared, Mary Kate, and I came in for a finish we got to enjoy some of the fun games too! About an hour later, it was time for the one mile fun run. Brooker decided he wanted to do it. We figured he would make it about 1/4 of the mile and tucker out...boy were we wrong! He ran his little heart out the entire way and finished in 8 minutes and something seconds. We were so proud. His little cheeks were so red but he was determined! This annual event is really well put-on and we enjoyed ourselves a lot!

A new adventure begins...T-Ball!

Tonight was Brooker's first T-Ball practice! It was so cute watching him do his thing on the field. I think he really enjoys it. Jared is helping coach the team, along with three other dads. It looks like they will have a good little team! Mary Kate enjoyed running around like a wild child. I definitely learned that she will wear play clothes only to the baseball field! The first game is next week...Fun times ahead!

Happy 7th Birthday Miss Lauren

Momma Mandy planned a fun La La Loopsy Birthday Celebration for Sis! It's hard to believe this girl is already 7 years old. A sweetie for sure...Both of my kiddos LOVE her :)

Snowcone Fridays!

Getting snowcones on Fridays at Fred Wild Elementary school is a fond memory of mine! I love that this tradition still carries on for my little guy! I also love that I can be part of the fun by serving the snowcones at the Kindergarten Learning Center. What fun it is to see the excitement on each little one's face as I hand them their snow cone and they sweetly say, "thank you!" Such a positive reward for good behavior!

Tonight we watched the Gator game at David and Heidi's house....Good food and good company! The Gators won...yay!

Mammy needed new running shoes so Mary Kate and I tagged along to Fitniche in Lakeland. Mary Kate enjoyed trying on all of the shoes Mammy looked at. I'd say she liked this pair...One day sweet girl :)

Slip-n-Slide

We had Nolan, Oren, and Chloe over this evening to play! They were hot from all of their outdoor adventures so I (being the fun mom that I am...sometimes...haha!) decided that a little slip-n-slide action was in order! They had a blast. Even Mary Kate got in on the action!

While I was enjoying Grandparent's Day, Mary Kate was spending time with Aunt Mandy. Mandy sent me a text with this picture and I just had to laugh...No wonder Mary Kate LOVES to go with Aunt Mandy...who wouldn't?!

Grandparent's Day

This morning the Kindergarten Learning Center had a little Grandparent's Day Celebration. Pappy, Mammy, and Papa came to be with Brooker. A couple of the teachers read grandparent books and the kids thought they were really funny! Afterwards Brooker got to make a little craft with Pappy and Papa. Finally they had cookies and juice. It was a sweet little way to recognize three VERY important people in Brooker's life!

Labor Day

The Zwayer family joined us at the lake for some Labor Day fun! Mary Kate and Grant pretty much ate chips the whole time and Brooker and Molly Jane caught worms and other critters. Baby Winston slept a lot as any good newborn should do :) Brooker got a little more brave this time and rode the tube with Aunt Jamie and again with daddy. We had a yummy rib lunch/dinner and headed back home to get ready for the week. Thank you Zwayers for joining us!
