Visiting with Uncle Mike and Family

Today we went to the Hammock to visit Uncle Mike, Aunt Ashley, Austin, and Mallory. Uncle Mike has been in Afghanistan for quite some time and he returned home about a month ago. He and his family came down to Sebring (from Ft. Drum, NY) for a week. It was so good to see them. The kids are getting so big! Brooker enjoyed playing with them. As an added treat, we got to have my niece, Baxlee for a few days too! She's growing up so fast!

First Day of Preschool!

Brooker started "school" today! He is in a Mother's Day Out program three mornings each week. He was such a brave boy and walked right into his classroom. There are nine kids in his class. A lot of boys! Mrs. Lucy is his teacher and I know he will love her.

Dora Dora Dora the Explorer!

Today we took Brooker to see Dora Live at the Tampa Performing Arts Center. We've been hyping him up about this for awhile and he was so excited to go see Dora "in person." Dora and Boots were fun to watch but after intermission Diego and Baby Jaguar came out and the crowd roared! The show was very interactive and fun for the kids. Swiper really made them all laugh..."Ahh, Man!"

It's All About Island Time!

This past week we spent 6 days at the most beautiful place in the world...The Island! I could really get used to that life! Mom and I took Brooker down on Monday and Aunt Laci, Laura, and her son Hunter joined us on Wednesday. Unfortunately, we had to come back to reality on Saturday. It was a great get-away and I loved spending time with everyone. Brooker is turning into a true Island boy! Some of his favorite things about the Island are the boat rides over, catching fiddler crabs at the dock, playing with all the tractors and boy toys under the house, walking up and down the beach looking for little trinkets and treasures, chasing birds and feeding them goldfish, looking for Mr. Turtle in his hole on the path out to the beach, pointing out all the cactus to and from the beach, looking for snook and stingrays, the list goes on and on!



When Laura and Hunter got there on Wednesday, Brooker and Hunter were wearing matching shirts...so cute!

Lake Day!

Today was our good friend Erin's birthday! Apparently she only turned five...Haha! We gathered at Erin's mom and dad's house on Lake Isis. What a beautiful lake! Brooker and August had a fun time, as usual! Brooker had his first experience with a paddleboat and wanted to know where the motor was. Thanks to Mr. Adell and mommy he got a little ride! The golf cart kept the boys quite entertained. After a delicious steak dinner, we got to indulge in Erin's yummy birthday cake! Brooker is becoming a pro at singing "happy birthday" and blowing out the candles. Happy Birthday Erin and thanks for inviting us to be part of your special day!
