5 little ducks went out one day...
Around Easter, Brooker's papa (Jared's dad) bought Brooker six ducklings (one didn't make it and he ended up with only five). They were so cute and SO tiny! Brooker would carry them all over the place. The plan was for them to be released into the lake when they were old enough. Tonight we were at the lake house to celebrate Jared's birthday so we decided to release the ducks. I hadn't seen them in a long time (they were at papa's house) and was shocked at their size. I only wish I had a before and after picture to really appreciate how much they've grown. The ducks came out of the cage and waddled on the beach for a little while before going into the water. Once in the water they acted like they were bathing. We left them out there and as of when we left the lake house, they were still hanging around. Jared said he would go by there tomorrow to see what they are up to!

A Sign He's Growing Up...
Two-Thumbs-Up
I have been in need of some way to organize my jewelry. I tried the plastic fishing tackle boxes and they worked but just weren't convenient and user friendly. As a result, my jewelry was cluttered on the dresser and I couldn't even tell what I had anymore! So, I found this handy little jewelry organizer at Steinmart last weekend and it's wonderful! As you can see it tucks away neatly into the closet. When I go to pick out jewelry, I can see it perfectly in the clear pockets. Both sides of the hanger have pockets so it holds a LOT. If you are having jewelry organization issues...I highly recommend this product!

Pat-A-Cake
Jared and Brooker were guilty of having a sweet tooth today so I made them a cake. My instructions were to bake a yellow cake, put chocolate icing between the two layers and cream cheese icing on top. I was then to adorn the cake with splatters of chocolate icing and m & m's. Well, I got the first job done...baking the cake. Before I could even get to the icing, my two little "sugars" took care of the rest!

Girl's Game Night
All the girls on my dad's side of the family try to get together every now and then for a night that's sure to make our stomach's hurt from laughter...Girl's Game Night! We come together to eat, socialize, make lots of jokes, and play games! Tonight was tons of fun...the food theme was salad. We had all kinds of different salads there and they were YUMMY! We learned that Sarah and Laci are NOT smarter than a fifth grader...Blurt is pretty good...and that charades with random props is quite comical! I love all these women in my life...aunts, mother, cousins, and sister-in-laws...I'm so blessed!
