12 Hours of Sebring

This evening we joined lots of friends for some fun out at the race track! This is something we have enjoyed doing for the last couple of years. The set-up is so family friendly and the food is delish. This year they even had a little bounce house set up and that provided hours of fun for the little ones. Like last year, they brought in a band to provide a little entertainment. Once again, Brooker got up on stage and sang a little number for all of us...He did amazing! The older he gets, the more shy and bashful he is in certain situations so I couldn't believe he got up on stage with a microphone in front of all those people! I love my little singin' man. We gotta work on a new song for next year though :) We stayed out well past the little one's bedtime and they both sacked out on the way home...evidence of a great time!

Living on Island Time

With Brooker and Mammy being on Spring Break this week, we decided that a visit to the Island was in store! Mammy, Brooker, Mary Kate, Nolan, Laci, Marlee, Easton, Judy, and I headed down on Saturday. Aunt Mollie picked us up at the marina. The boys were sooooo excited to be heading to the beach. Mary Kate and Marlee had no idea the fun that was to be had! We spent tons of time at the beach. It took Mary Kate a few days to warm up to the sand but once she realized it wasn't so bad, she was up and down the beach, in the water, and acting like a true island girl. Brooker didn't let the cold water stop him from swimming, boogie boarding, sharks tooth collecting, sand castle building, and much more. He even caught a couple of fish while we were there. Daddy was able to come down for a few days too. It was a great week with perfect weather....NOTHING beats living on Island Time!

Garage Sale Find

This morning I took my boy to a few garage sales, a Saturday morning favorite for the two of us! He found this HUGE coloring book filled with animals and was immediately SOLD! Brooker is very much into animals right now. His favorite channel on TV is Animal Planet. He will often tell people, "I don't like cartoons anymore, only Animal Planet!"  

Tea Room Time!

We took this bunch to the tea room today for lunch...Interesting, funny, yummy, scary, and chaotic, are only a few words to describe our experience! Thankfully Kelly (the owner) has a back room that we can shut ourselves off from the rest of the restaurant...haha! It's times like this that we look back and ask ourselves, "What were we thinking?" Love these memories :)

Future Tennis Champ??

We shall see! Brooker started tennis lessons today. We were looking for a new activity for him to do now that basketball has ended. He was sorta hoping to go back to karate but when we heard about tennis lessons we decided to give it a try. Besides, it's only one day a week and it's in our neighborhood...can't beat that! He really enjoyed his first day of lessons and made great contact between the racket and ball right away. He told me that he "really wants to beat Uncle Kenny one day!" Uncle Kenny was quite the tennis player in college so those are some big shoes to fill. Look out Kenny you might have some competition!

Last Upward Game of the Season

This morning Brooker had his last Upward game of the season. As always, he played his little heart out and made two baskets. I was so proud of him. He has enjoyed Upward so much and we are sad to see it end! He made so much growth since the beginning of January and really loves the sport. Already looking forward to next year!
