Gator Weekend Part 1

It's always fun to wake up in Gainesville! Game day is so exciting...We started our day by going to the Plaza of the Americas on campus to watch the SEC Nation broadcast their game-day show. Tim Tebow was there and we got a really great view of him and the rest of the crew doing their broadcast. The kids gave a high five to Albert and loaded up on loot from different vendors. Afterwards we went to the Swamp for lunch. On the way walking to the Swamp, Brooker got really excited and told Jared that he had seen a bike shop that sells Scott bikes. (This is big news because they've been on the lookout for quite awhile now for a youth racing bike. They aren't often found in stores and have to be special ordered.) We assured Brooker that we would check out the store after lunch. So as promised we went to the bike shop and asked about a youth bike. Lo and behold there was ONE youth bike in the store and it happened to be the exact one Brooker wanted...it was meant to be! We wheeled and dealed with the clerk and Brooker became the very PROUD owner of a new Scott racing bike...from Gainesville no less! We went back to the camper and he immediately started riding and practicing. He did have a couple of falls but nothing too major and really seemed to master the bike pretty quickly. We are very excited for Brooker! Later that day Mammy, Pappy, Laci, Marlee, and Karsyn came for a quick visit before loading up to head to the Swamp to see some Gator football!
